Twin Talk

Peanut&chunky

Much of my day was spent today Monday the 8th of March marveling my bumpkins.  They are a piece of work(s).  A day does not pass and they not completly bring my jaw to the floor or make my eyes bug out because of what was just said.  I wanted to share with you just a few of the things that happend today that put things into perspective for me: Peanut - " mommy, what are we going to do today?" me - "I'm not sure but I'm sure daddy knows." Peanut - "don't  you have brains in your head? why don't you know?" me - eyes...bugged out And of course there's the put you on the floor conversation between the twins.  You should know that even though my twins are fraternal (obviously because of gender) they too have there own language that they can only understand.  Drives me crazy!  Not because I don't like it but because I want to laugh too.  If one is crying or sad, the other will speak in thisspecial tongue to get the other to be happy again.  And they haven't even seen … [Read more...]

Not Me Monday

Just waking up Bumpkins, yes we were in there tiny twin bed.

No way I took the entire afternoon off from posting my deals (and there are some) and took a 4 hour nap with my bumpkins.  No way, not me at all!!  and I have no pictures to prove this.  No way, I didn't pull out my camera.  Not me. ok, I did but only after I knew they were getting up anyway...hehehe! No way I did not sit down and write out my menu plan for the week.  Thank goodness I made a bunch of food yesterday because there is NO WAY, I'm cooking tonight!!  This is SO not me! ...and I'm loving it today! … [Read more...]

not ME Monday

Pure sweetness

I just recently (ok, Today) started doing the "not me Monday" hosted by McMama.  But I saw this one option to choose from a topic to write on "not  my child Monday" and immediately knew that this was so appropriate considering our weekend. My child "did not" just dig up the freshly planted grass and make what she called "dump truck grass stew".  I know cowboy "did not" sit in the lounge chair while playing with HIS newest gadget right across from our child and and let her do this. Then proceed to bring this lovely gob of grass goo to her playhouse and serve it up.  She did not just do this and I photograph it!  Sometimes you just have to sit back and laugh right.  It's the only way to get through the day :-) … [Read more...]

Sunday Morning Yummies: Simple Pancake Recipe

Sunday Morning Yummies

I love Sunday Mornings!  I know...I'm crazy but I do.  It's the last day before the work week and I I love for the four of us to sit down and enjoy each other over a meal I make with love for them.  This mornings special Banana pancakes (of course there are side dishes but for time purposes we'll focus on the main part) My Grammy has made her southern Sunday morning pancakes for years and today I want to share it with you all: 2 cups of Bisquick mix (I personally love the Fresh & Easy pancake mix) 2 tablespoons of butter (more or less...LOL) 1 egg (I always take the cord out--it's just me) 1/2 cup of water a dash or two of cinnamon a splash of vanilla (we can't be exact because life isn't exact {smile}) fruit of choice for topping or in the mix (if in the mix no more than 1/4 cup) Mix ingredients together with whisk or fork.  I let mine get a little fluffy.  Preheat your skillet with a tablespoon of oil.  I use olive oil. Pour onto hot skillet and flip … [Read more...]

The Ole Fake out

Kay

It's Saturday and the cowboy is home.  My Saturday..... The only way I can differentiate one day from the next is if I hear the trash man outside, or see Cowboy home.  Otherwise, the kids are still running every which way.  I'm wondering if I truly need that shower today and I hear myself repeat "don't jump off of that" way more than I care too. I'll admit it.  I do feel a bit of relief when cowboy is home.  He's excellent at watching the twins and making sure I have some down time.  But this Saturday was a little different.  I'm just getting over with a cold, mother nature decided to show her face too.  Plus, I just needed to sleep.  Oh I miss YOU sleep, I miss you like crazy! What did I do when I woke up this morning?  I did the ole' fake out.  I had to.  It was the only way I could find a few hours sleep.  Do I feel bad?  Hmmm, well...hmmmm...nope!  The days of me taking a quick stroll around the office building in my 15 minute breaks or runnin to Ross on my … [Read more...]
