This question drives me crazy. I'll admit...it's been a minute since I've posted Menu Plan. I'm posting something a little something different today just to share with you how you can eat OUT for 5 days with kids eating free and me eating healthy. Can I do it? We shall see. I'll post the location and planned menu for that day each morning so make sure to check back every day. Today were going to hit Jason's Deli {from the advice of my friend over at Coupon Chic} Since Monday nights are kids eat free night. Menu Plan Monday~DF Style 2/22
I will admit it. I have not planned our meals for what seems for about a month now. Between moving into the new home. Moving my blog over from blogger to wordpress. And pretty much everyday things that come up, I have just not had the time to get organized {funny right} We seem to be all settled into the new home. The blog; well…it will be an ongoing work in progress but our budget from not planning….HORRIBLE. It’s almost like falling off the wagon if you drunk…no..seriously. Week 6 with my Relish Menu Planning and I am still loving it, but since it’s Thanksgiving Week I will resume regular planning next week. This wee is all about planning for Thursday. I’ll be doing a little bit each day and freezing it for Thursday. My goal is to eat lite, because heavy food is just too much for me. However, for one day …I can do it! Monday – HOLIDAY ITEM: Dressing. My family roots are southern so we make dressing and it is rich. We start by making a couple hens, chickens or one small turkey. Pretty much everything in those birds are going to be cook. Neck, liver…it all (and I don’t like all that but trust me you don’t even taste when I’m done), celery, onions, broth, bread toasted, corn meal cooked to speck (it’s pretty dry when your done. Here’s a brief “how it works” - You enter how many you are cooking for and then pick and choose which recipes you like or opt for an express “already picked out” menu plan. Then it will calculate the five meals, shopping list, directions and nutritional facts. Love it! You’ll notice little letters at the end of all my meals. You can read the legend below for descriptions. For me the price of $7/mo has worked it self out easily, read on that here.
