#ShowItWednesday Kitchen Painting Update

It’s been a while since I’ve updated you all with what’s going on with the kitchen painting update. It is complete? No. But, will it ever be complete? Not sure. I feel like if I say it’s finished that means I’ll never want to change and I’m always evolving; Always! That’s why this post is just an update of how it looks now. It’s been great to document all the updates we’ve done over the past year. It’s crazy but it’s coming up on our one year anniversary here, hard to believe. All the work that has been done has been done by my cowboy or myself (mainly cowboy). He’s got some awesome painting techniques that make a perfectly straight line with no bleeding edges (can’t stand that).  So here’s what we’ve done:

The Kitchen Painting Update

I absolutely love the kitchen white.  I’ll admit to being a bit nervous about painting white cabinet with 8-year-old twins.  The durability, the sustainability and quality.  You’ve already seen in the process photos but here’s the before again, just in case:

Painting Kitchen Cabinets White – AFTER

You already know the sprayer to do the cabinets (HERE)  we used and after many uses….I have to report it might not be our fave.  It’s a bit of a pain to clean and if you don’t clean it after each use…well, forget it!  Headache #2 will be on its way.  But for the price, we didn’t complain.  The handles all came from Overstock.com.  Handles are super expensive (everything is super expensive) but going thru Overstock saved us tons!  I highly recommend them.

Ignore the pictures above the cabinets.  They’ve been there for a while now when we started painting the adjacent room. Not quite sure where they will go yet but for now they are out-of-the-way and we get to see the family while we eat.
