The Odd Life of Timothy Green & Us

We just finished watching The Odd Life of Timothy Green.  I loved it!  Our kids loved it and it was a great way to spend the evening together.  I’ll admit, I wasn’t sure if it was going to hold their attention.  After all, they’re 7 and usually unless it has animation it just doesn’t hold it.  But from the beginning of the movie, we could tell they were captivated.  What I loved most about this film is that it was something we could all watch together.   It was easy enough to understand for the kids but intriguing enough for us adults and boy did it have me tearing up.

For me, once a movie can pull you in with something that is relatable….they have you!  It took us so long to be blessed with our twins.  So…long!  And then once they were finally conceived it was a rough journey every step of the way.  They are my precious gems that I marvel in everyday.  Don’t get me wrong, they do drive me bonkers but at the same time it’s the kind of bonkers that you wouldn’t want to live without.  The kind you look forward to.  This movie brought it. It tugged on my heart, it kept the kids laughing and wondering why mommy was tearing up. I want to watch it again and again.  Have you seen it?  Here’s a peak at trailer for the film:

But my favorite part of the film is when they are creating their dream kid in their minds.  I love it because it’s all a fantasy but the joy it brings them is priceless (can you tell I’m a dreamer?)
