We’ve been on a painting frenzy! The entire house was a what I’ve referred to as a “poo brown”.  I’m sure most would have been happy they didn’t have to move into a home and paint BUT…we did!  I just couldn’t live with it any longer and with the suggestion of my friend Vanessa of DeSuMama, we cooled it down a bit and added a bit of punch. In the past we’ve stayed with the “safe” colors. The tans, the whites, the egg shells…you know, safe.  But my husband wanted an accent wall in the family so that once we get all the details completed it will pop. Well, pop it did!  And to truly appreciate that pop, you need to see the before:

See what I mean…?  It’s so warm in this room I needed some cool.  just to break up the warmth of the travertine.

The color I chose for our inspiration is from the pillow above.  Or basically my blog colors. I love that Tiffany blue(minus the shoe in the background).  The paint color seemed harmless enough in the can, but once we got it up on the walls…hmmm..it was a different story!

That Tiffany blue turned into a baby’s room blue and we aren’t sure of it just yet.  So I’m only sharing a snippet of what it looks like.  Once we tackle it again this weekend I’ll put up a comparison of the two blues <kinda scary>.
