It’s Sunday evening and I just realized I haven’t blogged since Tuesday…Oh man!!! Everyday is action packed with TONS of things going on. Do you guys still love this frugal living mama?? I also just realized that I didn’t put up my Show it Wednesday…Double oh man!! I think my mind decided not to post because I didn’t finish with the chairs I wanted to share. But that shouldn’t matter, I should share anyway. Right? Do you want to see the in progress stuff too?
Well, just so you know, I’ve been just a tad bit busy with life, still moving in and living it to the fullest (thanks Katja) while stopping and smelling the flowers too.
Want to know a snippet of what I’ve been doing……..?
- Painting the Kitchen – finally got rid of the poo brown walls on the honey golden cabinets, yuck!
- Painting the family room – Yes, I know…everything in the whole house was already painted that brown but I just couldn’t take it anymore. It had to go!
- Mad frugal shopping on Craigslist – in love with Craigslist these days. I’m not sure if I had $2k to spend on a hutch I would do it. Especially since I can go to Craigslist and get one for $30 and then paint the color I want. I personally didn’t get this one but I did get this awesome table that you see in the foyer for only $25. It’s everything I wanted just needs a nice coat of $3 black spray paint and it’s perfect.

Have you been busy too? Are you ready for summer to be over? Oh man….I’m lovin the heat but keeping the kids busy with frugal activities have been a challenge this year because we’ve had so many house projects going on. BUT….I see a LegoLand visit coming up soon. We are well over due. I know I few of my blogger friends grabbed free tickets to LegoLand from Klout. Keeping it frugal means, having your hands in all the pots …and this I do.

Is summer crazy or what?! I have a $75 Craigslist hutch that is just dying for a makeover! It’s on my to-do list… for about 3 years.

and I get lazy like that too. I always say I’ll post up something and a year passes by and I still have that dusty piece..lol
