I still feel like I’m dreaming! Have you been following my Container Store posts Here, Here and Here? If your following me on Facebook you already know the good news.
When the Container Store made the announcement of the Las Vegas Store opening I couldn’t believe it! I’ve been to a couple California Stores and fell in L.O.V.E with them. Did you hear me…pure and utter love. Never in a million years did I think we would have a store here. Having a VIP tour of the new store and talking with the staff only solidified that I was going to be a happy camper when they opened here in Las Vegas.
Quite honestly - I felt like I won the lottery when they offered to re-do our current closets in our new home. If you can imagine that quiet sound you hear when something great happens, something like this…ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh….! Yep, that’s the one. My head was buzzing at the possibilities of our new closet.
Thinking back on my Blogger VIP tour of the store, I found myself dreaming our closets could look just like the picture below.
The Container Store Elfa representative walked me through the whole process of what would happen step by step. And can I just say that their customer service was the sweetest and their accents were just icing on the cake. I just love a Texan accent. If you didn’t know Dallas is where their headquarters are located.
My Concern
I think I was a bit worried that since we would be designing the closets via telephone and online that I wouldn’t be able to stress the type of design I was looking for. I wasn’t sure if they would “get it”. They did!
The Process
This was the fun part! Throughout the crazy move we had going on, my cowboy and I sat down and sketched out the layout of our closet (which wasn’t necessary at all because they sent a link of your virtual closet once we provided the dimensions – so cool & high-tech). Our Elfa Closet designer gave us suggestions I didn’t even think about. He asked questions about our usage and quantity of items. I love that all we had to do was give him this information and within 24 hours we received an email of our design. I can’t say enough about how special their customer service makes you feel. I felt so fancy 
The Order
Most of the items for our closets were in stock but some were ordered. I have to tell you, when we received the hangers today …(yes, the hangers) It all became really real. My grown up closet is taking shape….it’s really happening. And these hangers are not your, “can you give me the hanger with that shirt” hanger when you buy a new blouse at the store. Nope, these are Walnut Coat & Shirt Hangers that you see in the really fancy closets (get used to that word fancy, I think it’s going to be used allot).
They are absolutely stunning, right! They just scream elegance but down to earth enough for a mommy & daddy of two that want that extra “I’m special too” in their closet …right? We think so. There’s one more package coming before the installation on Monday. Can’t wait to see the Linen Drop-Front Sweater Box. OH ..did I tell you the installation will be happening this Monday? Well, It is and you know where I’ll be. Snapping pictures of the whole thing and grinning from ear to ear with glee.
Throughout the process of purchasing our home, there were two areas that I knew were really important. The layout and size of the kitchen and layout and size of the master bedroom closets. Those two items can make or break the deal when purchasing a home. I knew that our closet size was perfect and one day a custom closet that fits our lifestyle would be perfect.

You are such a tease!!! Although those hangers are utterly divine… I want to see the closet!!!! I could just imagine you measuring the spaces between shirts {that are of course color sorted by sleeve length!}. So happy for you guys. You and Cowboy are very deserving of a fancy, grown up closest.

Haha…it’s all complete now and I can’t wait to share with you all. I seriously felt like my clothes were not worthy to be in there. So…there was some goodwill bags made last night.
Still working on the lining up of clothes but oh you know me
