Much of my day was spent today Monday the 8th of March marveling my bumpkins. They are a piece of work(s). A day does not pass and they not completly bring my jaw to the floor or make my eyes bug out because of what was just said. I wanted to share with you just a few of the things that happend today that put things into perspective for me:
Peanut – “ mommy, what are we going to do today?”
me – “I’m not sure but I’m sure daddy knows.”
Peanut – “don’t you have brains in your head? why don’t you know?”
me – eyes…bugged out
And of course there’s the put you on the floor conversation between the twins. You should know that even though my twins are fraternal (obviously because of gender) they too have there own language that they can only understand. Drives me crazy! Not because I don’t like it but because I want to laugh too. If one is crying or sad, the other will speak in thisspecial tongue to get the other to be happy again. And they haven’t even seen the movie Avatar yet but they “get it”. That special connection that only two bodies that shared the same space {my space} for 8 months can understand. So I just laugh with them any way because it tickles me that they have that {of course they think I’m laughing with them}.
Setting the stage: bumpkins are in their rooms {side by side} and talking through the walls
Peanut – “mommy could you come here and put some lotion on my legs?”
Chunk – “no, this is mommies special time. Listen sissy…get up, pump the lotion, put it on you and get back in bed.” ”I’ts that simple sissy, just do it.”
Peanut – “No, I want mommy to do it.”
Chunk – “are we on the same page sissy…I.T’.S {he’s sounding out the vowels to mommy} Ma..my..ti..me, just do it”
Oh….my little bumpkins!

Thanks for sharing your beautiful childrens story with us. I have twin girls who are 12 now. And my favorite thing in the world when they were little was to just sit quietly & listen to them play together. And even though they are older now, I still love to watch them interact with each other. I'm so thankful they have each other to go through these pre-teen years together!
