It’s Saturday and the cowboy is home. My Saturday….. The only way I can differentiate one day from the next is if I hear the trash man outside, or see Cowboy home. Otherwise, the kids are still running every which way. I’m wondering if I truly need that shower today and I hear myself repeat “don’t jump off of that” way more than I care too.
I’ll admit it. I do feel a bit of relief when cowboy is home. He’s excellent at watching the twins and making sure I have some down time. But this Saturday was a little different. I’m just getting over with a cold, mother nature decided to show her face too. Plus, I just needed to sleep. Oh I miss YOU sleep, I miss you like crazy!
What did I do when I woke up this morning? I did the ole’ fake out. I had to. It was the only way I could find a few hours sleep. Do I feel bad? Hmmm, well…hmmmm…nope! The days of me taking a quick stroll around the office building in my 15 minute breaks or runnin to Ross on my lunch break have been over almost 5 years now. And I don’t know about you but my twins are LOUD! So taking them out with me all the time is sometimes doable, sometimes NOT. They feed off of one another completely. A simple laugh can turn into a full on I’m crying so hard and someone is running into another because they are tickling each other. See…nothing is just as simple as a laugh with those two. Building with legos turns into, “who can build the tallest and then propel from it.” My ALERT factor is always in high gear when they are awake!
This is why I did the fake out today. I faked sleep. After breakfast, I went to go to the restroom and just never came back. At any given time the twins know that I’m out numbered. They have me cornered 5 days out of the week..LOL. So how do I claim my 5 minutes of quite again? well, I let cowboy get outnumbered

HA!! I think you should the “fakeout” every chance you get!
I totally do! Now, I just have written proof. Do you think they’ll find out
You do need to get you rest. Fakeout or not, it was good that you were able to! Enjoy you week and take fakeout moments when ever you can.
haha…yeah! My kiddos know when mommy is at the end when there’s no comments being made about anything. They almost become even more quiet when I’m not fussing. Gotta love em.
Girl… I don’t even do the fake out anymore. I just flat out DISAPPEAR lmbo Glad you got a chance to get some down time!!
Passing from SITS, have a good Monday.
Well….this has been an interesting read. And you thought I didn’t read your wonderful blog.
I think Saturday mornings will have a different spin on them from here on out… XO – Cowboy
