This is a two part review……Part I
Just recently I was given the opportunity to review a product that I have Known about for years. Eager to try their new line of products I couldn’t wait until the package arrived. Let me give you a little background about who the products will be used on and how I feel about hair care.
Little Mama – She has bi-racial hair that requires allot of moisture. Part in fact because we live in the dessert. The heat pretty much dries everything up. No Atlantic humidity here for our hair. She has very fine, thin and curly hair. I have a hard time
Pop – He too has bi-racial hair that is a bit coarser and not only requires the moisture but a little heavier product that will last throughout his very thick, coarse locks.

Me – Well, I just recently cut my locks. Yes I have about 1.5-2 inches of hair and can I just say I love it! But the one common demoninator we all have is our hair is dry. Dry from the desert and I just have naturally dry hair.
Here are the products we had to work with for me:
- Milk Protein & Olive Oil~Daily Growth Lotion
- Milk Protein & Olive Oil~Leave-in Treatment
- Milk Protein & Olive Oil~Three Layer Growth Oil
- Milk Protein & Olive Oil~Strengthening Creme
Here are the products I worked with on my twins:
- Olive & Sunflower Oil~Moisturizing Lotion
- Olive & Sunflower Oil~Edge Tamer
- Gro Healthy~Growth Oil

SofNfree Milk, Protein & Olive Oil / Olive Oil & Sunshine
After having my twins….my hair was so lovely and long and soft. Well…after about 6 months it started to fall out. And I mean completely fall out. My once long thick locks just falling literally on the ground. After about 4 years of trying to save it and using every product on the market (including hair vitamins and lot’s of water) I just gave up, excepted what was happening and cut it all off (recently). This is why this product review was more than just a review for me. I’m starting over with my hair and you can come along the journey with me.
When trying a new product I always like to give it a bit to determine how my hair reacts to it over time. I’m in week 2 right now…..stay tuned for week 4 with pictures of little ole “me“……..

Thanks! I’m bi-racial and have a daughter whose hair is a little coarser than mine. We live in the South and that heat is so terrible for out hair. It’s so hard to find products that work well. I will definitely be trying this brand soon! Can’t wait until Part 2 of your review.
Hi Tiffany,
You are so welcome. When trying a new product I always consider the following: If the product is a recommend, I must consider the weather here on the west coast. It’s very different than the East Coast. I’ll go more into that on part II. I always too look at the first ingredient. Black hair and bi-racial hair have many many needs. I’m not a licensed beautician, just a mother and woman who has tried everything known to man. And can talk about hair…all day long.
Make sure you subscribe to be notified of part II. Thanks for stopping by.
