M&M Products~Review Part II

by Daisy on March 10, 2010

in Reviews

This is a two part review……Part II

This followup review comes two weeks after the first one.  If you need to catch up click here.  This part is near and dear to me so pardon the bluntness and just plain honesty because this post is about me.

When I had my twins almost five years ago, I had these flowing lovely locks that you just had to touch.  I’ve ALWAYS had super thick hair that you could barely put a comb thru.  Especially after all the extra hormones from the pregnancy I had a bunch of hair.  Then it happened….

about six months after my babies were born it started to come out.  And I mean in clumps.  CLUMPS!!  Now keep in mind we have now changed our income from two people working to one person and two additional mouths to feed. There wasn’t any EXTRA anything for anybody to go and get hair done.  Nope just wasn’t.  And truly, being a new mom of multiples I struggled with even getting a shower, let alone taking care of my hair.

Me at about 6 months after birth of twins

So after my family having pity on my sad looking locks, I finally made it to the salon and had it chopped off in hopes that it would help in the falling out process. Well, it didn’t help.  I tried everything possible that one could do at home. Even started taking additional hair vitamins with my prenatals {by the request of my doctor}.   Trust me if there was a product out there…I tried it.  Maybe I did too much but all I knew was my beautiful locks were leaving me and I could do anything about it.  For someone who has had long locks all her life, this was hard.

What would I be without my bangs?  Sad right? But hair is a huge shield from the world and I had no idea how much until I started to loose mine.

I prayed on it.  And then I prayed some more.  I spoke to a near and dear friend that also happened to be my old Physician & Minister (she is a powerful force).  We prayed together and I eventually just let it go.  I let go of the possibility of my hair ever coming back and made piece with it.  Let me tell you how life changing this was.  I felt I could finally say goodbye to something that was just simply not at all me.  I began a process of finally seeing “me”.  I had all these beautiful gifts and for many of years I always focused on a superficial one.  My Hair.   I was uplifted.  I felt so free even before I recently cut it off.

Now, I wore scarfs and hats and even some pieces {yes I rocked a wig big time} but just recently I said to myself…I needed the complete freedom that I felt inside.  So I cut it off completely!

SofnFree Products

Then I received my first box of goodies from SofnFree.  Could the timing not be any better??  I cut it off and used there super tingly, feeling so good Milk & protein Olive Oil conditioner.  Love this stuff.

Shampooing Process

My scalp feels so good and free now.  You have no idea how liberating it feels to walk out of the house and know that it’s just all about YOU  Not your locks, not your clothes…just you.  So after the cutting process and deep conditioning I opted for some color {yes all done by myself..you know how I roll}.  Finally the finished product.

A new me that is filled with freedom and a daily reminder when I look at my hair that life is too short.  Enjoy it!  I will never let hair or anything else for that matter bog me down.  I’m a really tall girl so when I walk into a room generally folks stair {I’m use to it}.   But now I can walk in head high, knowing that my head does not need to be covered up .  Receiving the SofnFree products were more than just a review for me.  Which has proven to soften my locks more and more everyday.  It was an opportunity to start fresh.  I’m sure they have no idea what that little package did for me.

I’m still using the products on my daughter and son everyday, I love them.  This product line has taken care of my “very kinky, nappy {yes I said it} nappy hair….to my daughters very thin curly lock…to my son with hair in between the both of us.  Thank you M&M for sending us this product to review.

You can the the above picture in full in my About section.  Thanks for getting personal with me!
